![]() ![]() If you would like to use RenderMan with 3ds Max the alternatives are to use a format like FBX or Alembic to move your data from 3ds Max to Maya (or other tools) to leverage RenderMan, but I suspect that is not the direct path you are seeking. We have evaluated doing so at various times but in the area of cinematic rendering which is RenderMan’s focus we have unfortunately not found a great deal of demand. But so far, PIXARs Renderman stands out the most for its realistic lighting and its support for most 3D tools such as Maya and 3DS MAX.
